Smart Waste Removal: a counter-top bin that sorts as it swallows
A product concept for a bin built into the kitchen worktop: drop a can through the ring and the mechanism below sorts it. The film had two jobs at once. It had to sell a beautiful kitchen, and show what happens out of sight under the marble.

Lines to final
The whole kitchen, checked as linework first
The room was modelled and reviewed as clean linework before any materials went on, so layout, proportions and camera were settled early. Drag the slider to compare.
LinesFinal
How it was made
From idea to mechanism film
Model the room and the product
An open kitchen with an island, shelving and a worktop ring, plus the bin mechanism that sits below it.
Linework and clay review
Camera, layout and timing checked as linework and clay renders, while changes were still quick.
Materials
Marble worktop and shelves, timber units, tiled floor and every prop down to the can, textured in Substance Painter.
Light
Soft daylight with a warm glow under the shelves, rendered in V-Ray.
Show the hidden part
A transparent x-ray pass reveals the sorting chamber, so the film explains how it works, not just how it looks.
Comp
Passes combined and graded in Nuke, with the clay-to-final wipe built into the edit.
