How it was made

How it was made

  1. Blockout and camera

The building massed out and the camera placed to lead the eye up the sandy path to the entrance.

  2. Clay sign-off

Geometry, camera and composition approved in clay.

  3. Landscaping

Dune grasses and trees placed to frame the house and soften its edges.

  4. Materials

Timber cladding, render and a sand path that holds up close.

  5. Light

A low late-afternoon sun for long shadows and warmth.

  6. Finish

Graded in Nuke for the final image.
